About Halo Education

Why we built this

Teachers and school leaders have more data than ever — academic results, attendance, wellbeing notes, NAPLAN/Saber/curriculum standards — but they spend hours moving it between spreadsheets. The tools on offer tend to be either enterprise platforms that need a long procurement to adopt, or lightweight “send-your-student-data-to-the-cloud” apps that ask schools to trust a third party with sensitive information.

Halo Education is a third option. Educators can use it free, with no procurement and no login required, to turn school data into useful workflows: dashboards, IEP drafts, pastoral check-ins, parent-ready summaries, and custom apps. When the school is ready to adopt it institution-wide, Halo can be deployed in the school's controlled environment with governance, parent portal, and integrations.

What we stand for

  • Educator-led AI. Every AI output is a suggestion for a human to review, adjust, or reject. Decisions about children belong to educators.
  • Privacy-safe by design. Identifiable student records are not sent to AI. Halo works with de-identified, aggregated, or school-controlled data depending on the deployment mode.
  • School-owned. When a school adopts Halo, the school controls where data is stored, who can access it, and what is shared with parents. Halo provides the software layer.
  • Free for educators. No upsell walls in front of useful features. Schools pay when they want governed deployment, integrations, and implementation support.

Who's behind it

Halo Education is built by Dataclysm Pty Ltd, a small team working out of Perth, Western Australia, with operations across Australia, New Zealand, the UAE, and Latin America. We previously worked on analytics for mining, project controls, and professional services — the common thread is making complicated data legible to the people who actually have to act on it. School leaders were asking for the same thing, so we built this.
